1988 Rolex Submariner Date 168000 - B&P Serviced
Description
This is one of the rarest Rolex references ot them all. In 1988 Rolex upgraded their Submariner cases from 316 to 904 stainless steel. Unfortunately the new 3135 movements were not yet ready for the new reference 16610. Thus for a few months only they produced the Sub Date with the new case and the old 3035 movement - and called this reference 168000. This is why there is one 6 digit reference in the late 1980s already, the so called triple zero...
The collector market has not completely adapted this rarety yet and these watches are still available at more or less the usual "Sub" price.
This example is in nice all original condition with beautiful tritium dial and has just been serviced. It comes with box and papers and a one year warranty from us.
