This is a very rare example of the first variation of the first Explorer II reference 1655. It features the thin case, the MK I Stern Dial with the straight no-lume-dot second hand and the folded link 7836 bracelet. It has just been serviced and it is in pretty nice original condition except for a somewhat amateurish repair at 2h on the dial - which is the reason for this exceptional price, hugely below the regular MK I offers.

Dial / Zifferblatt / Cadran:: nice original black MK I dial from Stern with dark-yellow creamy tritium lume and nicely matching original hand set with faded 24h hand and straight second hand, in overall pretty nice condition, except for the repair at 2h

Bezel / Lünette / Lunette:: nice original MK II 24h-bezel with centered numerals as used from 1972 in nice condition with some signs of wear but no major dents or chips

Crystal / Glas / Verre:: good original acrylic crystal with some signs of wear and polish

Bracelet / Armband / Bracelet:: nice original Rolex 7836 folded link bracelet with folding clasp and 380 end links in ok wearable condition with some signs of wear and some stretch, total length ca. 19.5cm
