1970s School Watch Ecole d'Horlogerie Porrentruy Day-Date - Serviced

Description

This is a pristine example of a final exam watch from one of the Swiss watchmaker schools, the "Ecole d'Horlogerie Porrentruy". These watches don't come up for sale very often and also this piece has been in my private collection for nearly 20 years. But now it's time to let it go.

It houses a ETA 2789-1 high grade Day-Date movement that has been completely serviced. The near mint stainless steel case has a very unique multi-angle shape with polished sides and a brushed finish around the mineral crystal. The watch comes on the original leather strap and box that the new watchmaker chose in the 1970s.
