This is a beautiful exampel of Longines late 1960s attempt to be on top of the chronograph accuracy game. These first examples were equipped with the cal. 538 which was a converted version of the legendary cal. 30CH. It came with an additional gauge at the tip of the chronograph second hand for more precise time reading.

Movement / Werk / Mouvement:: great original Longines cal. 538 chronograph movement with 10th second recording gauge, based on the fly back movement CH30 in very good condition with all functions properly working

Winding / Aufzug / Remontage:: manual

Dial / Zifferblatt / Cadran:: beautiful original black dial with applied Longines logo and nice patina, well matching original hand set with yellow painted chronograph second hand

Bezel / Lünette / Lunette:: inner 60' bezel with nice patina

Crystal / Glas / Verre:: very good original mineral crystal with slight superficial signs of wear

Bracelet / Armband / Bracelet:: great and rare original Longines bracelet made by Gay Frères with flip lock clasp and diver extension, marked 1972, total length ca. 19cm
