1957 Rolex Submariner Tropical Bond 6536/1 - B&P

This is a unique and stunning James Bond Submariner 6536-1 which comes on a very nice Oyster 6636/75 extendible bracelet with original box and papers.

Case / Gehäuse / Boîtier (1-10):: very good stainless steel no crown guard case in nice and fat condition with no major dents or scratches and no noticable corrosion or pitting, case back marked I 57 with many old watchmaker markings, screwing down tight, both serial and reference number are well readable between the lugs. (7-8)

Movement / Werk / Mouvement:: nice Rolex cal. 1030 butterfly movement in good working condition but not serviced

Winding / Aufzug / Remontage:: automatic

Dial / Zifferblatt / Cadran:: fantastic original gilt "Swiss" dial in untouched condition where the high radiation Radium left its toll on the lacquer and gave it a stunning tropical look, the dial as well as the gilt Radium hands are glowing briefly under UV

Bezel / Lünette / Lunette:: very good nickel plated bidirectional brass bezel with a later MK III insert that has faded to a very nice and even steel grey. The bezel pearl seems to be Tritium and glows a little longer under UV

Crystal / Glas / Verre:: nice domed acrylic crystal with just very small signs of wear

Bracelet / Armband / Bracelet:: very nice original riveted and extendible Rolex Oyster 6636 bracelet with 75 end links and folding clasp marked 3 63, in tight and well wearable condition
